Hi guys! I am new here and I need to make sense of my current situation. I am applying to become a PO. I got an appointment for the assessment in Croydon. Three days before, they call me and tell me that now the Fitness Test will be somewhere else at another date. I went to Croydon, I passed the assessment and they said they will send me an invitation to book the fitness test. Three days later the invitation comes and when you press the button to book a date, the message is "NO SLOTS AVAILABLE". It is now two weeks and still nothing. I called the 0845 number but no one knows anything. I have called various times. The last thing someone said to me was: "There are 100,000 applicants and only 6 slots are given per day". Really??? Can anyone, please, shed any light on this? Thank You!
I feel your pain - the situation with Croydon is rubbish - they should state when booking the slot that Croydon doesn't have the capability to do the fitness test due to space, otherwise I'd have scheduled at Grendon for the whole ARC rather than take two days out.
They do say that the 8 week deadline on rebooking the fitness test doesn't apply if you can't get a slot in that time, but that's small comfort I know. Loads of luck!
